Operating in a three-phased structure, the Program provides a salaried position for six months and offers hands-on experience working with established storyboard artists, background designers, character designers and more.

As part of their development, each artist will be assigned to a production and mentored by Lead Artists who supervise in the storyboard, character and background design departments. In addition, all artists are integrated into the activities of the productions to which they are assigned. This allows the artist an opportunity to complete production relevant assignments designated by their mentor, to attend storyboard pitches, take animation tests, develop their portfolio and pitching skills, and are encouraged to interact with a writer from the Writing Program. Artists will also be able to showcase their artwork in the Nickelodeon Art Gallery.
