Job Description The Disney ABC Television Group (DATG) is home to all of The Walt Disney Company’s worldwide entertainment and news television properties. The Group includes the ABC Television Network (including ABC Daytime, ABC Entertainment Group and ABC News divisions); the Disney Channels Worldwide global kids’ TV business, ABC Family and SOAPnet; as well as television distribution divisions Disney ABC Domestic Television and Disney ABC ESPN Television. The Disney ABC Television Group also manages the Radio Disney Network, general interest and non-fiction book imprint Hyperion, as well the Company’s equity interest in A&E Television Networks.

Responsibilities The DATG Products and Platforms team creates innovative consumer products in the digital space. From the Emmy award-winning ABC iPad player to the recently launched Watch Disney suite of apps and websites, the DATG Products and Platform teams brings entertaining first-rate content of the Walt Disney company to its fans, anytime and anywhere. 

Working with our product and video distribution teams, an undergrad intern will have the opportunity to learn about the fundamentals of the digital video business. Concentrating in the areas of consumer navigation and experience, the intern will work with the product team to ideate and execute enhancements to drive the digital viewing experience. Working with the digital video distribution team, the candidate will learn about the distribution ecosystem and how we service, program and structure internal sites, as well as partner sites such as Hulu and iTunes. 
• Assist with various aspects of the product lifecycle including conceptual, design, documentation, building, testing, and operations 
• Assist with graphic asset management 
• Learn the digital distribution workflow and help with the daily publishing schedule 
• Contribute to the digital scheduling strategy across the ABC, ABC Family, and Disney Channel long form products

Basic Qualifications •All students must be eligible to work in the US 
•All students must be pursuing a bachelors or masters degree and be currently enrolled at an accredited university 
•All students must be available to work full time (40 hours/week) 
•All students must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship 
•All students must be professional, able to follow instructions and complete tasks given 
•All students must be proficient with Microsoft Office 
•Basic understanding of the video experience on non-traditional devices 
•Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications •Undergraduate students entering into their Junior or Senior year 
•Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher 
•Previous internship experience within a related field 
•Basic knowledge of computer programming or digital design (e.g. Photoshop) 
•Practical understanding of HTML 
•Mac and PC literate
