As an I-SITE team player you will have the opportunity to bring your experience to all facets of our web and mobile application projects in a collaborative studio environment. Our clients are for-profit, non-profit, national and international and include Alliance for Downtown New York, William Penn Foundation and the Times Square Alliance.

Technology Requirements:

  • 5+ years of lead development experience building websites and web applications
  • Extensive experience working in PHP, both custom applications and popular CMS frameworks such as Drupal 7-8 and WordPress
  • A full, semantic understanding of HTML5, CSS3, Sass, and Compass
  • Write JavaScript with and without the use of libraries such as jQuery
  • Mobile-first responsive web frameworks (like Bootstrap / Foundation)
  • Adobe Photoshop CC
  • *nix shells (primarily Bash)
  • Apache Configuration
  • Database server management (MySQL, SQLite, PostgreSQL)
  • API Integrations such as Twitter, Salesforce, and The Raiser’s Edge)
  • Version Control (Git)

Technology Bonuses (Not Required, Just Awesome):

  • Experience with various hosting platforms (i.e. Pantheon)
  • Mobile Development, Objective C (iOS) experience a plus
  • Project Management Tools: Atlassian Services, Slack, Trello

Junior Full Stack Developer

POSITION: Junior Full Stack Developer

LOCATION: Yardley, PA

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in web design/development, computer engineering, computer science, interaction/experience design, or related field required.
  • At least 6-12 months of experience with relevant web development preferably in an agency environment and/or the healthcare industry.
  • Strong experience with modern web development techniques, technologies, and front-end frameworks (HTML5, CSS3, LESS, SASS, Vanilla JS, jQuery, Bootstrap, Foundation)
  • Experience with MVC-based JavaScript frameworks (AngularJS/Ionic, Backbone.js, React, Polymer)
  • Experience with sever-side languages and platforms (PHP, Node.js, Sails.js, ColdFusion) and web database technologies (mySQL, MongoDB, JSON/BSON)
  • Experience using development tools, package managers, and task-runners (npm, grunt, gulp, bower, composer, yeoman, etc.)
  • Familiarity developing native apps for iOS & Android devices. Exposure to Objective-C, Swift, XCode and/or Java, XML, Eclipse/Android Studio a plus.
  • Confidence working across the Adobe Creative Suite of design tools, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Fluency in both Windows & Mac OSX operating system environments, Unix/Linux experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of best practices and direct experience with formal software engineering principles (OOP, code design & architecture, reusability, DRY principles, testing).
  • A strong portfolio of work including any relevant examples of front end design/development, back-end development and deployment, or other appropriate application design.

DUTIES:
The candidate will be expected to:

  • Support the complete lifecycle of a modern web/interactive experience—from initial conception and ideation, through defining specifications, design, wire-framing, development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Develop responsive, front-end layouts from design composites, employing proper web standards with a focus on usability and accessibility for a variety of platforms and devices.
  • Help architect and develop back-end, server-side applications for small to medium-scale deployment on the web with a consideration for best-practices in data integrity and security.
  • Be able to interpret style guides and parlay individual design elements into larger web design layouts and brand strategies.
  • Effectively communicate to clients and other teams within the organization regarding development status, strategy, design implementation, and medical/scientific content.

  • Working with creative teams and creative clients, ensuring that a design is feasible and is able to be executed as accurately as possible
  • Provide technical expertise when preparing project scopes and finding project risks
  • Prototype solutions quickly and easily to give client/team a good understanding of functionality
  • Integrating existing Drupal modules and writing your own custom modules
  • Understand modern caching and code-condensing techniques to aid load times
  • Writing efficient and properly formatted, well-documented code
  • You account for cross-browser compatibility when coding, and you know how to test for and fix inconsistencies.
  • Pick up new programming or scripting languages more easily than most, and understand their function and applicability to a solution
  • Make recommendations of platform/language that will best suit the client and the team for a given project. You understand that “one size” doesn’t necessarily “fit all”
  • Express yourself during meetings and voice your thoughts, opinions, and concerns in a constructive manner
  • Represent yourself well on the phone and via email
